This is Marco's, my Argentine husband's, recipe. It's the pizza sauce that he's been making all his life. And like any Italians, you cannot separate this Argentine from his homemade pizzas.

You don't need to cook pizza sauce, at all. It's extremely easy and yet it doesn't sacrifice all the flavours that we look for in a pizza sauce.
It's amazing and trust me, once you've tried it, you won't cook your pizza sauce ever again.
Recipe Highlights
Texture and flavour - Loose pizza sauce that makes it super easy to spread on pizza dough. It's mildly tangy and is infused with flavourful herbs. The mild flavour makes it perfect to carry all those lovely toppings that you're thinking about.
Size - 1 cup. Enough for 4-6 medium-sized pizzas.
Level - Ridiculously easy, just mix everything with a spoon.
Occasion - This is our go-to pizza sauce since forever. We use it on anything that we want to turn into a pizza. For example, pizza dough (of course), naan bread, baguette, tortilla.. just to give you some idea. It's super versatile.
Lets Talk Ingredients
Tomato puree - Natural. I love to use the one with some small chunks in it.
NOTE: Tomato puree is not tomato sauce. Tomato sauce is a cooked sauce that's already with its condiments and flavouring. Tomato puree is simply crushed tomato.
Oregano - Use dried oregano, please. It has more flavour than fresh oregano.
Basil - I use dried basil but you can use fresh, no problem at all. 2-3 stems worth is good. Simply tear into small pieces to use.
Chili flakes - To add some mild heat to the sauce. Totally optional. I do recommend you to give it a try, it's delicious.
Extra virgin olive oil - Find the best that you can because it matters.

For tomato puree, do you use store-purchased ready-made ones or self- made? If self-made, do you remove skin and seeds of the tomatoes?
Bea says
I use canned natural tomato puree, not to be mistaken with tomato sauce or pizza sauce. Natural tomato puree is just tomato, nothing else. Hope it helps!

Thanks for the no-cook sauce recipe. I made one minor adjustment, added 1 tsp of sugar. But even without that charge, your recipe tasted fantastic! The whole family really enjoyed it. .

That's great! And yes, by all means, adjust it to your liking, no problem at all. Thank you Frank!

Made this last minute as I found I had no sauce left in my freezer. It was excellent, won't use anything else.
Thank you Nancy
